SCREENINGS

FIRST MONDAY IN MAY is a unique behind-the-scenes look at two of New York's most important cultural events. The film tells the story of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute's most-attended fashion exhibition in history, China: Through The Looking Glass, and the 2015 Met Gala, a star-studded charity event celebrating the exhibition's opening.

Acclaimed filmmaker Andrew Rossi (author of the documentary "Page One: Inside the New York Times") follows the creative director of mass media company Condé Nast, the editor-in-chief of fashion magazine Vogue and longtime Met Gala host Anna Wintour, and iconoclastic curator and creator of the groundbreaking fashion show Andrew Bolton over the course of eight months as they prepare for a night that is expected to take the art and fashion world by storm.

Stylist Marion Laev will make an introduction to the film screenings.
