SCREENINGS

The show at the center of the documentary "Jean Paul Gaultier: Freak and Chic" is both fantastical and scandalous as well as wickedly witty and moving, bringing viewers a retrospective of a 40-year career and a fashion designer who is often referred with the expression enfant terrible. Jean Paul Gaultier, who was enchanted by the legendary Parisian cabaret theater Folies Bergere as a boy, yearned to stage his own show there all his life. "But what story should it tell?" he ponders himself, recalling the six months of preparations that went into planning the show. "It's my own story, isn't it."

Stylist Ženja Fokin makes an introduction to the film screenings.
