The film portrays the 20th century fashion icon Coco Chanel, who had to fight numerous battles throughout her life, growing from an orphan servant girl to a world-famous fashion designer.

On the way to the top of fame, she had to fight against social order, entrenched customs, men, bankers and other contemporaries - in short, the whole world around her. Borrowing both money and style from men, she spent her life in a constant and relentless battle to establish herself and leave her mark on history. In the film, we see how this legendary socialite, fashion designer, Nazi spy and later rebellious old lady was constantly rethinking her existence. There was even a Broadway musical dedicated to him during his lifetime.

Having witnessed lost heydays, artistic heydays and the so-called roaring twenties, Coco was still lonely and embittered in his twilight years, despite the fact that he was a larger-than-life icon of the 20th century.

Fashion designer Piret Ilves will make an introduction to the film screenings.
